Celebrating our Veterans
We had the privilege of celebrating all Veterans and their families at a school-wide assembly on Monday, November 12. We welcomed parents and family members from all branches of the military, and were especially honored to have one gentleman who is 93 years old who served in World War II. The celebration included several musical selections sung by our students and led by our music teacher, Sarah Franz, a question and answer panel for members of all branches of the military with question submitted by our students, Veterans Day essays shared by several 6th grade students and a video presentation including photos of WSES community Veterans and their families. We concluded the morning with "Thank You Parade" through the hallways and a wonderful reception honoring all of our special guests. Thanks to all who attended and to those who helped make the morning so special.
