The reasons for this recognition are beautifully expressed in these words from a parent nominating Ms. Quinn for this recognition:
"I'd like to take a moment to recognize Mrs. Quinn for her exceptional dedication to teaching, which has had a profound impact on our child. We feel incredibly fortunate to have her as our child's teacher. Mrs. Quinn takes the time to understand each student and their individual story, working every day to create an environment where everyone feels included and valued. She goes above and beyond to foster a culture of equity and inclusion, consistently demonstrating her commitment through her actions rather than just words. In her classroom, Mrs. Quinn provides a variety of seating options, such as couches, cushions, and wobble seats, and normalizes neurodiversity by offering chair bands and fidgets to every child, ensuring no child feels singled out. Her classroom is a warm, accepting environment where both neurodivergent and neurotypical students feel safe and valued. Her classroom is not only a warm and welcoming space but also a dynamic environment where creativity and curiosity thrive. She brings lessons to life with innovative teaching methods that captivate the children's imaginations and make learning an exciting experience. Mrs. Quinn is exceptionally observant and proactive. She ensures that each student comprehends the material and feels comfortable, and she maintains open communication with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being. Her ability to create engaging, lively discussions that resonate long after they end is remarkable. Beyond academics, Mrs. Quinn builds strong, trusting relationships with her students, making them feel seen and appreciated for who they are. Her tireless efforts, boundless enthusiasm, and genuine care have enhanced our child's educational experience. Mrs. Quinn's impact on our child's growth and development is truly extraordinary, and we are deeply grateful for her dedication."
